Raffael Maio and Joël Winteregg, fellow students from the University of Applied Sciences in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, founded their company NetGuardians in 2007. The co-founders first did three years of software research to offer financial institutions monitoring systems of fraud detection and risk management. Today the company employs 20 employees and has branches in Dubai, Nairobi, and Warsaw. Over 30 financial organizations use NetGuardians's software. The duo has created a valuable company.
