Using AI in the Fight against fraud in Phnom Penh on the 12th September 2019
NetGuardians, along with its partner First Cambodia, are organizing a Fraud Prevention and Financial Crime Round Table in Phnom Penh on September 12, 2019. The round table is aimed for thought-leadership discussions exclusively for senior management in Cambodian banking.
Are we aware?
Banks aren’t the only ones focused on innovations; fraudsters are becoming exceedingly innovative in schemes, fraudulent incidents continually increasing in value, and successful detection of fraud cases steadily decreasing in volume. A fraud prevention solution based solely on manually defined policies and rules is no longer sufficient. If financial institutions want to stay ahead, they need a solution that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) through supervised and unsupervised Machine learning (ML). ML and AI are undoubtedly the most popular technologies driving change across all markets and disciplines. Financial services is one of the sectors where AI and ML are having the most impact, especially when it comes to fighting fraud.
This session on “Using AI in the Fight against Fraud” will look into this question and provide you with solid understanding on how banks worldwide are successfully implementing AI for this purpose.
The discussion will have an overall focus on how banks can successfully leverage AI to beat the fraudsters and safeguard their customers. To this end we will hit on subjects such as:
- trends in fraud typologies
- challenges facing banks in mitigating threats
- security in the age of digital transformation, and
- changing banks’ structure and resource deployment.
The discussion is followed by social dinner that is intended to provide fantastic networking opportunity.
